Maryborough Highland Society Donates $1,640 to Central Goldfields Masonic Group

Supporting Freemasons Primary School Scholarships

Maryborough Highland Society is proud to have presented the Central Goldfields Masonic Group with a community night cheque for $1,640.00. The Masonic group will match this donation dollar for dollar, effectively doubling the contribution to support Freemasons primary school scholarships across the region.

The scholarships support students from a wide geographic area, covering communities from Wedderburn to Clunes and Moonambell to Elphinstone, and also includes St. Augustine’s. It’s a wonderful initiative that makes a real difference for local families and young students in the Central Goldfields region.

At Maryborough Highland Society, we are committed to giving back to our community. Our community nights are one of the ways we raise funds to support local organisations and causes that matter to the people in our region. Seeing those funds go directly toward educational opportunities for local children is incredibly rewarding.

A massive thank you to the Central Goldfields Masonic Group for their generosity in matching the donation – bringing the total contribution to $3,280.00 for these important scholarships. We look forward to continuing to support worthwhile community initiatives like this one.
