Celebrating Our Championship Bowlers
Board members Peter Egan and Garry Coburn (also a Highland Bowls player) recently presented the Division 1, Division 2 and mid-week pennant shields to some of our finest bowlers at Maryborough Highland Society. It was a proud moment for the club as we recognised the outstanding achievements of our teams throughout the season.
Congratulations to Tartans on their exceptional performance, taking home both the Division 1 and mid-week pennant shields. Their skill, dedication and teamwork throughout the year have been exemplary, and they’ve proven themselves as champions on the green. The Blacks also had a fantastic year, claiming the Division 2 pennant shield with impressive performances week after week.
Acknowledging the Runners-Up
A solid shout out goes to our runners-up, the Whites and Red teams. While they narrowly missed out on the top spot, their competitive spirit and commitment throughout the season were outstanding. The close competition between all teams is what makes our pennant season so exciting and engaging for everyone involved.
The presentation ceremony was a fitting celebration of another fantastic year of bowls at Maryborough Highland Society. Seeing board members and players come together to recognise these achievements highlights the strong community spirit that makes our club special. The dedication shown by all our bowlers, from the champions to the runners-up, demonstrates the high standard of competition and camaraderie we enjoy here.
Well done to all our pennant teams for making this season memorable. We look forward to seeing what next season brings!
